The Coveters are back! Jan & Feb

The Coveters are back this month and next at The Continental Club!  We’re sad to have lost our feminine side (Suzanna Choffel) to the big apple last year, but we’re still going strong with Dan Dyer, Warren Hood, Michael Kingcaid, Jeff Botta, Wayne Sutton, Brad Houser, and subs that include Naj Conklin, Kyle Thompson, and who-knows-who else.

Come see us one of these Tuesday nights! MIDNIGHT show.

see you later

it’s been a cold February here in Austin, but we’re hoping to warm it up, starting this weekend with some very special gigs in around the state.

this Friday, Feb 11, please join us for an intimate acoustic performance at the beautiful and award-winning Hotel Havana on San Antonio‘s Riverwalk.  there’s limited seating on the second floor terrace, and you can even get a room for a discounted fan rate for the night… details on tickets and reservations here.

then on Saturday, Feb 12 it’s back to Dallas for a solo gig at the Rock House Films Studio, presented by the fine folks at Swank Presents.  this one is BYOB, folks, so bring your sweetheart and some wine.  lots of old songs from the vault to share with you.

it’s been a while since the full band has played in town, but on Saturday, Feb 19, you can catch the Dd Trio with all its post-hibernation energy at Momo’s in Austin with local outfit Soul Track Mind.

and then we end the month, on Sunday, Feb 27 with another great night in Houston at the Mucky Duck, for a special “Supper and Song” series starting at 6pm.  call ahead to reserve tickets and a good table!

concrete and abstract beginnings.

happy January. the unseasonable warm holidays are over, and it’s time to get back to work.  open doors.  close doors.

this promises to be a very productive year of writing, playing and sharing, but we hope you enjoyed the fruits of 2010′s labor.   for those of you who missed it, all the singles and live records from the past year are available for streaming or download (at name-your-own price) right here.

and to honor Janus, the Roman god of doors and gates, we’re planning to go in and out of them a lot this month, starting with a Wednesday weekly residency at Momo’s in Austin.  then it’s off to San Antonio (sorry it’s been so long…) for a solo show with the ever prolific Mr. Bob Schneider at Sam’s Burger Joint on Friday, Jan 14.  do you like the Isley Brothers?  of course.  come see Dd sing a few of their songs at Bemba Entertainment‘s special tribute show on Friday, Jan 21 (also at Momo’s).  and finally, we can end the first month of the new year together, up close and personal at the historic Cactus Cafe with Dd & Friends, Saturday Jan 29.

all these and other show details on the calendar tab.  and new tunes coming your way as early as this week.  adieu.
