New York State of Mind

(C) Alexandra Valenti

Time for an annual northerly visit to the great isle of Manhattan. New Yorkers, get a dose of Dan Dyer live next week at two very special venues, The Manderley Bar at The McKittrick Hotel in Chelsea (home of NYC’s underground theater sensation, Sleep No More), and Austin’s own export, ZirZamin in the Village (RIP Momo’s). Details on the calendar tab. Hope to see you.

busy in the studio

some great news sounds coming soon out of Level One Studios, where Dd has been working with Grammy award winning producer and musician, Adrian Quesada (of Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, Echocentrics, y mas). special thanks to the very talented Mr. Stevan Alcala for these intimate studio shots.

Houston and NYC friends and fans can hear some of these new tracks LIVE next month (see Calendar tab for details).

tornadoes and more

we had a pretty busy September, wrapping up Makeout Mondays at the Continental Gallery, dodging a tornado in Brooklyn and meeting some new friends at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, and releasing a few new tracks to our online fans and friends.

October promises to be just as busy (and fortunately, a bit cooler), starting TONIGHT, back at Momo’s. come out for a Dd solo acoustic show at 8pm, followed by the very talented Tom Freund, visiting from LA.

the band will be back in Dallas next week (10/16) for a Saturday night show at the beautiful and historic Kessler Theater… be on the lookout for a special 2-for-1 ticket deal for that show. then, we’re off to Oklahoma City (Blue Door on 10/21) and plan to do some more live recording at the famous Blue Heaven Studio in Salina, KS.

stay tuned for more…
